Steven Latham is an award-winning filmmaker and the President of Steven Latham Productions. He recently produced and directed the feature documentary about the TED Conference,THE FUTURE WE WILL CREATE, with partner Daphne Zuniga.
In 2007, he produced and directed a film for NOVA/PBS about solar energy, SAVED BY THE SUN.
Mr. Latham created and was the producer/director of the PBS series, THE LIVING CENTURY, which told the amazing stories of the 20th Century through individuals who were at least 100 years old. He produced this with partners Barbra Streisand and Cis Corman of Barwood Films. The films from this series won 18 film festivals; the project’s board of advisors included Leonard Maltin, Art Linkletter, Dr. Tom Perls and 3-Time U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky.
He was the producer and director of the film, THE LAST EDITOR: The Jim Bellows Story. Mr. Latham’s production company has produced projects with top-rated radio host, George Noory, branded entertainment shows, pay-per-view programming, web content, direct-to-DVD films, CDs and commercials.
Mr. Latham ran the affiliate relations department at Universal Worldwide Television before creating Steven Latham Productions. He was the director of affiliate relations at PolyGram Television, helping launch syndicated programming such as Blind Date, The Crow, Motown Live and Total Recall. He was also a publicist at Paramount Pictures and an executive at Ketchum Communications and Grey Advertising.
Mr. Latham just shot a pilot for a current affairs series called, “The Table” and is producing the feature documentary, “Cape Wind.” He just completed a short film with Daphne Zuniga about environmental justice.
He is currently developing scripted and unscripted television shows, game shows, feature films, broadband content and smartphone apps.
Mr. Latham resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two dogs. He has worked with many environmental organizations including, Earth Communications Office (ECO). He is from Western Massachusetts and is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Communications.
