For the past 15 years, Brigitte Mueller has line/co produced and production managed many seminal independent films from Adrienne Shelly’s Waitress to The Open Road starring Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake. Mueller has utilized her talents on ambitious independent productions such as the Polish Brothers’ critically lauded Northfork, and the Bollywood musical hit Bride and Prejudice.
Mueller started her career in concert production and radio while earning degrees in Marketing and Broadcast Journalism. As a staff assistant and promoter rep for Bill Graham Presents and later at Cellar Door Concerts she coordinated over 750 live concerts. She worked briefly as a disc jockey and in radio promotions before discovering film was the medium that encapsulated all of her creative interests; music, literature, and the visual arts.
Mueller started work in Hollywood as a production coordinator and production manager on film and television where she quickly rose through the ranks. Moving forward as a producer and line producer, Mueller has focused on independent feature films. Some of her notable credits include Adrienne Shelly’s “Waitress“, John August’s “The Nines“, the Polish Bros. “Northfork” and “The Smell of Success“, Gurindha Chada’s “Bride and Prejudice“, Brin Hill’s “Ball Don’t Lie“, Michael Meredith’s “The Open Road” and Cheryl Hines’ “Serious Moonlight“.
Mueller is currently directing the documentary “My Future Baby: Breakthroughs in Modern Fertility” which will broadcast in early 2011 and be available for DVD pre-sales in December 2010.
